Description |
Mt. Carmel Shrine is a magnificent church located along Broadway Ave. in New Manila, Quezon City. The Shrine’s construction started on December of 1954 where the church’s cornerstone, located below the main altar, was blessed by Archbishop Vagnozzi. It was until ten years later that the church was formally consecrated as the shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel by Manila Archbishop Rufino Cardinal Santos. Subsequently, the shrine was separated from the Immaculate Conception parish with Fr. Paul O’Sullivan as its first parish priest.
Now, the Mt. Carmel Shrine is a popular choice among soon-to-weds as the place where they would celebrate their matrimonial ceremony. It’s serene and breezy atmosphere as well as its accessibility is perfect for a wedding ceremony that is both unforgettable and romantic.
