Description |
The Sto. Domingo Church stands along the busy street of Quezon Avenue, but its wide interior diffuses the outside noise making matrimonial rites celebration serene and momentous.
The Church was significant in the 1980s at the time of Benigno Aquino’s assassination as it served as the viewing hall for the remains of the late senator, and the same church where the late President Cory Aquino launched her Yellow crusade that would end the Marcos regime. Built in 1954, after the original Sto. Domingo Church in Intramuros was reduced to rubbles, it now house the miraculous Marian image of Our Lady of the Rosary of the Philippines, also known as La Naval de Manila, the statue of the Virgin Mary bearing an oriental-Filipina feature.
